How a storm during a canoe trip launched an entire ministry and a new chapter in life.
Here I was, on a canoe trip down the Wisconsin River with two of my dear brothers in Christ and our sons. It was a beautiful, sunny day when, out of nowhere, a storm was upon us. The sky darkened, the wind picked up, the rain poured and battered us. In that moment, sitting in a small canoe in the middle of a storm, I was reminded of the disciples in the midst of their own storm in a boat. They witnessed Jesus walk out on the water. I realized that I, like Peter, knew that I would have the courage required to step out of the boat and follow Jesus anywhere! Not knowing if I could complete the task, but trusting Jesus wholeheartedly! This moment on the water and the newly discovered revelation of my trust in Christ, Walk on Water Ministry was formed. Shortly after the trip, the Holy Spirit told me that I was getting too comfortable and needed to get up quickly! The Lord has already taken me places that I couldn’t even imagine. I’ve met people I needed in my life and made the right connections at the right time. I know this is only the beginning of the journey!

It all begins.
How a weekend with brothers in Christ lead to healing and transformation!
After being told that I only had 6 months to live, the doctors were baffled by my recovery process. I found myself attending a Methodists church during this time, and it took everything I had just to walk the three blocks from my house. I wasn’t supposed to be alive, but the illness had left me weak and in need of building strength, so I took every opportunity to carry chairs or help people just to stay active. Eventually, I was sponsored to attend a Tres Dias weekend, although I had no desire to go. Nevertheless, I went. I befriended a man named Brandon, a member of Beloved Church in Lena, IL. folks from this particualr church made up most of the attendance for this event. After experiencing the love of all those who were attending and serving that weekend, and after receiving prayer for anxiety and witnessing that heaviness leave, I didn’t want to go back home! I got connected to the church from which all of these amazing men of God where from and everything went up from there. Three months later, I was baptized in the Holy Spirit and it was on!
